Getting Started

Can you make a replacement part without a drawing?

Yes. A broken part, worn sample, rough sketch, photo, or plant walk-down can be enough to start. We evaluate the component, measure the critical features, and determine whether repair, reverse engineering, or a redesigned replacement is the best path.

What should I send when requesting a quote?

Send the best information you have: photos, drawings, dimensions, quantity, material if known, how the part functions, what failed, and when you need it. For emergency work, call first so we can talk through timing and the fastest way to get the part or information to our Garland facility.

Can I bring a broken part directly to the shop?

Yes. Calling ahead is recommended so the right person is available to review it, especially for line-down or after-hours situations. We're at 2921 National Ct in Garland, Texas.

Do you offer plant walk-downs or onsite support?

Yes, depending on the project and our availability. Plant walk-downs help us scope guarding, platforms, modifications, equipment interfaces, and difficult repair situations. Onsite support may also be available for urgent needs.

Do you provide 24-hour emergency machining in Dallas-Fort Worth?

We offer 24-hour emergency response for qualifying industrial machining, fabrication, and repair needs. Call (214) 227-5633 to talk through the line-down situation, timing, access, and the fastest path forward.

What types of emergency parts can you repair or remake?

Common requests include shafts, journals, rollers, bushings, housings, wear components, brackets, guards, frames, and other parts that are stopping or limiting production. Each job is evaluated on its own condition, material, and required turnaround.

How quickly can you complete an emergency job?

It depends on the part, material availability, scope, any outside processes required, and our current shop load. The first step is to call and send photos, or bring the failed part in, so we can give you a realistic read on timing.

Can you repair a part instead of making a new one?

Often, yes. We assess whether repair, rebuilding, reverse engineering, or full replacement gets you back up and running fastest and most economically. It depends on the failure mode and how the part functions in your equipment.

Machining and Fabrication

What CNC machining capabilities do you have?

We run 3-axis and 4-axis CNC milling and live-tool CNC turning, with in-house CNC programming for prototypes and short-to-medium production runs.

Do you offer manual machining?

Yes. Manual milling and turning are still valuable for repair work, unusual parts, modifications, and situations where a conventional approach is faster or more practical than programming a CNC job.

How long of a shaft can you turn?

We can turn long shafts up to roughly 160 inches. Confirm final feasibility with us directly, since diameter, material, weight, tolerance, and workholding all affect what's possible on a given job.

What industrial fabrication work can you build?

We fabricate platforms, handrails, guarding, carts, tables, chutes, hoppers, frames, bases, skids, fixtures, and complete welded assemblies using MIG, TIG, and laser welding, plus forming and cutting.

Do you offer waterjet cutting and forming?

Yes. Capabilities include 90,000 PSI waterjet cutting, CNC routing, press-brake forming, shearing, rolling, ironworker operations, and laser cutting through our strategic supplier network for suitable projects and materials.

Can you handle both a machined part and a welded assembly?

Yes. One of our advantages is coordinating machining, fabrication, forming, assembly, and approved outside processes through one accountable relationship, instead of you managing several vendors.

What are your press-brake forming capabilities?

We form plate and sheet metal in-house on our press brake as part of a cutting and forming project. Tonnage, maximum thickness and bend length are confirmed project by project — send your material, thickness and the bend you need and we'll confirm feasibility for your part.

Do you offer design help for a prototype?

Yes. With a mechanical engineer and CNC programmers on staff, we can help refine a concept, sketch, or rough design into a manufacturable part before the first piece is cut.

OEM Alternatives and Production

Can you beat an OEM lead time?

Often, especially when the OEM part is obsolete, imported, backordered, or priced with a long lead time. We evaluate the existing component, reverse engineer it when appropriate, and manufacture a replacement locally.

Can you improve a recurring failure instead of copying it exactly?

Potentially. When the application allows it, we can review material, geometry, wear points, and service conditions to see whether a repair or redesign could improve durability. We'll always confirm any change to a critical design feature with you first.

Do I own the drawing created through reverse engineering?

Drawing and CAD ownership on a reverse-engineered part is worked out project by project — it isn't covered by one blanket policy. If retaining the drawing or program for future orders matters to you, raise it when you request your quote so we can put ownership and use in writing before work begins.

Do you work with food and beverage manufacturers or sanitary environments?

Yes, we've produced components for food and beverage and other sanitary-conscious applications, working in appropriate materials such as stainless steel for the part's service conditions. We don't hold formal sanitary or food-grade certifications, so confirm any certified-process or material-traceability requirements with us before the quote.

Do you make one-off prototypes and repeat production parts?

Yes. We support one-off prototypes, repair parts, and repeat production runs. Repeat work gets easier and faster once drawings, programs, and material requirements are retained after the first successful job.

Can you manage heat treat, coating, grinding, or EDM?

Yes, through our established specialty-partner network, which supports wire and sinker EDM, precision and surface grinding, heat treatment, plating, anodizing, powder coating, and thermal spray, coordinated through us.
